_________________________________________

You’ve been kept down
You’ve been pushed ’round
You’ve been lied to
You’ve been fed truths
Who’s making your decisions?
You or your religion
Your government, your countries
You patriotic junkies

[Chorus]
Where’s the revolution?
Come on, people
You’re letting me down
Where’s the revolution?
Come on, people
You’re letting me down

[Verse 2]
You’ve been pissed on
For too long
Your rights abused
Your views refused
They manipulate and threaten
With terror as a weapon
Scare you till you’re stupefied
Wear you down until you’re on their side

[Chorus]
Where’s the revolution?
Come on, people
You’re letting me down
Where’s the revolution?
Come on, people
You’re letting me down

[Bridge]
The train is coming
The train is coming
The train is coming
The train is coming
So get on board
Get on board
Get on board
Get on board

The engine’s humming
The engine’s humming
The engine’s humming
The engine’s humming
So get on board
Get on board
Get on board
Get on board

The train is coming
The train is coming
The train is coming
The train is coming
So get on board
Get on board
Get on board
Get on board

The engine’s humming
The engine’s humming
The engine’s humming
The engine’s humming
So get on board
Get on board
Get on board
Get on board

[Chorus]
Where’s the revolution?
Come on, people
You’re letting me down
Where’s the revolution?
Come on, people

manafon

‘Manfon’ – David Sylvian. 2009

Depeche Mode are the greatest band in the world

i’ve been a fan since 1980, but mostly listen to stuff from Ultra onwards.
i so love this viedo from the album…and yes, they have a wonderful sense of humour…

Ultra is for me, there best album, as i love ALL of the songs, and know them ALL off by heart ❤

Dangerous

The things you do

Aren’t good for my health

The moves you make

You make for yourself

The means you use

Aren’t meant to confuse

Although they do

They’re the ones that I would choose

And I wouldn’t want it any other way

You wouldn’t let me anyway

Dangerous

The way you leave me wanting more

Dangerous

That’s what I want you for

Dangerous

When I am in your arms

Dangerous

Know I will come to harm

The lies you tell

Aren’t meant to deceive

They’re not there

For me to believe

I’ve heard

Your vicious words

You know by now

It takes a lot to see me hurt

And I couldn’t take it any other way

But there’s a price I have to pay

A Pain That I’m Used To

I relate to Depeche Mode music more than any other music, in terms of their lyrics…

this is the Goldfrapp Remix.
I like the Jacques Lu Cont Remix too.

I’m not sure
What I’m looking for anymore
I just know
That I’m harder to console
I don’t see who I’m trying to be
Instead of me
But the key
Is a question of control

Can you say
What you’re trying to play anyway
I just pay
While you’re breaking all the rules
All the signs that I find
Have been underlined
Devils thrive on the drive
That is fuelled

All this running around
Well it’s getting me down
Just give me a pain that I’m used to
I don’t need to believe
All the dreams you conceive
You just need to achieve
Something that rings true

There’s a hole in your soul
Like an animal
With no conscience
Repentance unknown

Close your eyes
Pay the price for your paradise
Devils feed on the seeds
That are sown

Can’t conceal what I feel
What I know is real
No mistaking the faking
I care
With a prayer in the air
I will leave it there
On a note full of hope
Not despair

All this running around
Well it’s getting me down
Just give me a pain that I’m used to
I don’t need to believe
All the dreams you conceive
You just need to achieve
Something that rings true
