
I’ve finally found the key to my weight loss. I’ve stopped eating carbohydrates.
When I mean stopped, I mean I’m on a low carb diet. No more bread products. No more biscuits: savory or sweet. No more potato chips. No pasta or noodles…and I also continue with my low-sugar diet. (sugar = carbs). I will occasionally eat brown rice that has been precooked (by Me). This de-carb’s the rice.
While eating carbs I get: weight gain, Inflammation: Bloating and reflux.
Before doing this, I was 116 kilograms. Now I’m under 100 kilograms. My correct weight is 80kg, so a way to go yet.

Congrats! Great success, pat yourself on the back. Losing weight slowly often means the weight will stay off. It’s not eating chocolate, I’m partialy made of chocolate. 🙂

Christmas Carbs. Oh no!
If you eat something with fiber and some protein first, it slows down the absorption of carbs and helps. Also, refrigerating or freezing rice and pasta for example, turns the starch into resistant starch, that your body doesn’t absorb as well. There’s a good book called the Glucose Revolution by a woman named Jessie Inchauspe that explains all of that.

Good to know – I’m trying to do the same, but hubby is Mediterranean so pasta is a go to in many meals … but I just reduce my intake … it’s slow going though shifting the weight – yay you for getting your numbers down!
