- The really BIG one was: They now put soap in men’s public toilets. This never happened before this (well, only in rare occasions).
- They now have alcohol wipes in libraries, supermarkets and most retail stores. Before this the computers at libraries never got cleaned.
- (most) people cover their coughs and sneezes these days. This really didn’t happen before.
- Mandatory hugging is now a thing of the past. I’m actually grateful for this one. These days we bump elbows.

Do you have of any other benefits?
These are really great improvements. I liked that people could just stay home without feeling guilty for not socialising…I saw that as a benefit. I still use the gels whenever I go to any shop as I got so used to it and I think this prevented me from getting the flu this year.
‘people could just stay home without feeling guilty for not socialising’
yes. I love that too.
You could add that on some online shops now, you could have your images printed on masks…like the ones that we had to wear for more than a year here in public spaces, but not sure that all of my images would get somebody wanting to wear them, should work on a serie for that…:) But yes I agree, it did induced some changes in the way people act when they are sick or have the flu..now we need incencitives to get people, companies and government to act for environmental protection, climatic changes, social and economics, politics, international conflicts, etc…hum good luck to us with that…:)
Printed masks. Oh yes. Our minister wore one every week.
I did think of another one. People were allowed to work from home.
I was already doing that a few years before, best change in my ‘work life’ as a technical drafter, but I was freelancing…still was good, no more transit, and did not care much anymore for ‘office life’ 😀
My friend said he liked wearing shorts at work at home.
Yeah no dress code, except for video call, but then it was not very common…:)
A benefit from the pandemic that I enjoy is tele-health doctors appointments.
Oh yes. Excellent
All good ones!
