every 3 months a “rubbish truck” passes by to pick up old stuff like that in your photo that we call “les encombrants” = cumbersome stuff… 🙂
Les encombrants 🙂
on trouve des choses étranges quelques fois aux “encombrants” 😉
there are strange things sometimes to “bulky”
Oui. il est si bon d’être en mesure de se débarrasser des choses encombrantes.
Worn out furniture looks good in B&W.
sure does. thank you.
I’d be thinking of how I might use some of these pieces…a little paint…treasures😉
a lot of people do.
they go around looking for treasures.

We had such trash days in my native Texas, but not here in San Diego. Large items and eWaste have to be disposed of separate from regularly waste. One usually has to pay extra to dispose of large items, which is why one can drive down the freeways on Monday morning and see all of the refrigerators, sofas, chairs, microwaves, washers, and dryers that have been thrown out along the roadside, just so they don’t have to pay for disposal. What they don’t realize is that they pay for the city and county services to come pick up the trash they have dumped.
So they end up paying for the rubbish removal in the end.

Yep, but like so many people, if it’s not an immediate payout, they don’t count it.
